At The Treehouse Somerset, we’re proud to provide Ofsted-registered, high-quality before and after school care for children aged 4 to 11 years in Somerton and Ilchester.
Open four days a week during term time, The Treehouse Somerset clubs offer a safe, nurturing, and fun space where children can start and finish their school day feeling happy, confident, and cared for.
Our dedicated team of friendly, fully trained staff create a welcoming environment that encourages children to relax, play, and learn through fun experiences.
Every day at The Treehouse is full of variety helping children build friendships and develop new skills in a supportive setting.

At The Treehouse Somerton and Ilchester, we know that wraparound childcare is about more than convenience — it’s about providing a place where children feel safe, valued, and excited to spend their time. We’re here to make every morning and afternoon a positive, enriching part of your child’s day.
Costs – We have an hourly rate of £5.75 – We accept Tax-free childcare, Universal Credit and Military WAC Payments

Morning Magic: Bright Starts to the Day
In the mornings, children gather in the main school hall—a bright and spacious area that sets a positive tone for the day. Equipped with a projector and sound system, this versatile space is perfect for engaging group activities, games, and creative sessions that spark imagination.
Outdoor Adventures: Messy Play Encouraged!
We are passionate advocates of outdoor learning and play, aiming to spend as much time as possible in the fresh air, whatever the season. Just outside the hall, our secure, gated outdoor area awaits, featuring a much-loved mud kitchen and playhouse.
Imaginative Play
Children adore these spaces, encouraging hands-on fun, creativity, building, and, of course, getting wonderfully messy!
Afternoon Exploration: Active Fun
As the afternoon arrives, the adventure continues. We utilize either the main hall or the expansive school playing field, which boasts an exciting adventure playground. To promote active play and coordination, children also have access to a range of ride-on bikes and trikes.

Laura
Working with children is a genuine joy for me; I’m constantly inspired by their kindness, humor, and refreshing honesty. I always strive to approach life with a positive outlook, just like the kids who make every day at work an adventure.
When I’m not working, you can find me cherishing time with my beautiful children and husband, exploring National Trust sites, binge-watching Disney movies, or enjoying my passion for painting and other creative outlets.
Yasmin
A mix of history buff, sports enthusiast, and craft wizard! I’m all about capturing life’s beautiful moments through photography, exploring heritage sites, and enjoying long walks. Christmas is my year-round spirit animal, and nothing beats quality time with the family.
Rosie
Passionate about practical things like crafting and the great outdoors. Part of a Border Morris dancing side and a dedicated Dartmoor letterboxer. I’ve been working with children since my days as a Beaver Scout leader at 18, and now I’m navigating life’s biggest adventure yet: keeping up with a very energetic toddler! Life is an adventure!
